Over the December holiday break, I journeyed to the Far East to visit Tokyo and Thailand. We started in Tokyo where we hit Ginza (shopping mecca), Mt Fuji, Harajuku, and the world’s largest fish market! My impression of the city was that it is very orderly and clean to have that many people living there, and the people were very fashionable and extremely polite. Next we headed to lovely Thailand, where we visited Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Phuket. We rode elephants, shopped in the floating markets, saw monkeys, and visited some gorgeous temples. This country could not be more different than Tokyo! Stimulation overload was everywhere – noisy, colorful and chaotic! The things both countries had in common were that the people were extremely friendly and welcoming, and the food was fabulous in both places! Hope you enjoy a few photos from my trip!
